Fruits and vegetables - All menus shall include a choice of three fresh or frozen fruits and three fresh or frozen vegetables every day, including a salad bar in every school.Whole grains - Whenever bread, rice or pasta products are served they must be whole-grain rich (51 percent) (elementary & middle schools only).Must specify days he/she will be buying so staff can prepare meal.Approval of menu by parents and school nurse.Gluten-free menu must adhere to overall procurement and portion specifications. Glulten-free menu - A gluten-free menu will be provided for students with this disability provided they submit a written prescription by a doctor.When this is not possible, a vegetarian sandwich shall be served as an alternative to the meat entrée. Whenever possible, a hot vegetarian alternative to the hot entrée shall be offered (e.g., bean burritos along with meat burritos). Vegetarian entrees - A vegetarian meal shall be offered every day.Purchases utilizing the pre-payment system may be restricted until negative balances are rectified.Īll balances, positive and negative from the previous school year have been carried over.Students with a negative account balance greater than $20 will be denied a la carte purchases.

A la carte purchases utilizing the prepayment system will be restricted if negative balances exceed $20. Parents will be alerted weekly to low balances by an automated e-mail alert to your designated e-mail address. Accounts must maintain a positive balance at all times. Deposits may also be made by using our prepayment provider (see details below). Pre-payments of any amount can be deposited into your child's account by mailing a completed debit card pre-payment form with a check to your child's school prior to school opening, or send cash or a check with your student to school once school begins. You may establish a debit card account to pay for your children's lunch purchases.
